Menjo’s is a staple to one visiting Detroit. This is where Christopher Flynn used to meet Madonna in the 1970’s and dance with her. It’s where she cut her teeth as a nightlife person and this place still carries this pure energy. Today there is such a smart blend of DJs that spin here that is purely cross-generational from every decade of House and makes underground known. They make Menjo’s phenomenal. DJ Wax Assassin and Dj Andrew Wiesman were incredible to listen to perform their sets and nice to go between room and the patio area to hear the amazing sounds they were blending for us.

My partner and I went in at around 9:00 PM on December 3 and left at around midnight. It was really fun. There was karaoke and dancing and it wasn’t too busy. There was plenty of places to sit. There was good vibes and great people and I will definitely be back 11 out of 10 would recommend.

Menjos has added onto its structure The Olympus Theatre where the Gender Illusionists show are performed. My time there was a celebration of one of Detroit's Living Icons of the genre, Ms. APRIL SUMMERS..... It was to honor "The Golden Lady" who recent celebrated her 72 birthday and 56 years in Show Business!

We didn't get in, because Tiff was still waiting on her physical drivers license. But I was here about 20 years ago and it was awesome. Great vibes and an excellent dance space. The bathrooms were a whole other party, if you know what I'm sayin'. This is a great spot with lots of sexy dudes and good vibes. You will certainly make new friends here. Recommended.

My favorite bar in Detroit. Everyone there is always super friendly (both staff and patrons,) I love their patio, I always have fun on their dance floor, and I feel SAFE in their parking lot! Drinks are reasonably priced and there's always something fun going on there. Love this place.

I love this local welcoming bar. This is a bar for all although mostly men are here. The music is great, the drinks are reasonable and the atmosphere is cool for a night out. I always enjoy being here.
